Understanding Quality Tiers
Every part on RepairFully is categorized into a quality tier. Here's what each tier means and how to choose.
No tier is better or worse — each serves different repair needs.

No tier is better or worse — each serves different repair needs.
Mobile spare parts come from different manufacturing sources and are made with different materials. A display from the original manufacturer is built to different specifications than an aftermarket equivalent — and both serve legitimate repair needs.
Different repairs also have different requirements. A technician doing a quick, budget-focused fix for a customer needs different options than someone repairing their personal high-end device for long-term daily use.
Without clear labelling, customers order one thing and receive another. This leads to disputes, returns, and lost time for everyone. Instead of leaving you to guess, RepairFully labels every part so you know exactly what you are getting before you pay.
Aftermarket part, verified to fit your device.
Compatible parts are manufactured by third-party suppliers, not the original device manufacturer. They are physically verified to fit your specific device model — the connector dimensions, mounting points, and form factor are confirmed before listing.
Quality control covers physical fit, connector compatibility, and basic functional performance. The part works for its intended purpose. What differs from higher tiers is in materials and manufacturing source, not in whether the part functions.
For display replacements specifically, Compatible parts may have slightly different colour temperature or brightness characteristics compared to the original. For batteries, capacity retention over time may differ marginally. These are material differences, not functional failures.
Higher-grade aftermarket with improved display quality.
Premium parts are aftermarket components manufactured with higher-grade materials and tighter quality benchmarks. Like Compatible, they are third-party — not from the original device manufacturer.
This tier exists only for OLED devices because that is where the quality difference is actually visible. OLED panels have richer colour accuracy, contrast, and viewing angle characteristics than LCD. A higher-grade aftermarket OLED panel delivers measurably better results. On LCD devices, the visible difference between Compatible and a higher-grade aftermarket is negligible — so this tier does not exist for LCD models. We do not sell a distinction that does not matter.
Premium goes through the same device-fit verification as Compatible, plus additional display quality benchmarks — colour temperature calibration and minimum brightness/contrast thresholds.
Verified original part with source traceability.
Original Grade parts are manufactured by or for the original equipment maker — not by a third party. The sourcing chain is documented: each part carries a batch number, supplier record, and verification date.
These parts may come from authorised surplus channels, OEM production runs, or verified original sources. What makes them Original Grade is not just the label — it is the traceability. You can ask us where the part came from and we can tell you.
In performance, an Original Grade part is identical to the component that was originally in the device. Colour accuracy, brightness, touch response, and battery capacity are equivalent to factory specifications.
Warranty tier is displayed on each product page before purchase.
Identify your situation below. Each scenario mentions which tiers are relevant — there is no single "right" answer.
Best choice: Compatible tier gets the device working at the lowest cost. If the buyer values originality, they can upgrade later.
Best choice: Compatible tier offers the best margin and gives your customers a working device at a reasonable price.
Best choice: Consider Premium if the display quality matters to your daily experience. Compatible works fine if you prioritize cost.
Best choice: Original Grade is your only option. We can document the source for your records.
Best choice: Start with Compatible. It works for most repairs. You can always order a higher tier for future repairs once you know your preferences.
No. Quality tier is selected at purchase. If you need a different tier, cancel the unshipped order and reorder with the correct tier.
Premium is available only for OLED devices. On LCD screens, the quality difference between tiers is minimal, so we do not charge for a distinction you cannot see.
Yes. Compatible parts are verified for physical fit and basic function. They work correctly — the difference from higher tiers is in material quality, not safety.
